Golden Bay, Blue Lagoon, Mellieħa, St Peter's Pool. Plan early morning or late afternoon sessions to beat the heat and the crowds.

Evening culture
Valletta at night is superb in July: cooler, still lively, and beautifully lit. Dine late (9pm onwards) and plan cultural walks after sunset.

Some of the most memorable summer feasts run in July: Birkirkara, Ħamrun, Qormi. Expect crowded village centres, impressive fireworks, and food stalls that run late into the night.

Don't walk historic cities in the middle of the day
Limestone absorbs heat and reflects it back. Valletta at 2pm in July is punishing. Morning and evening only.
Don't underestimate hydration and sun
Tap water is fine but carry bottles, hat, and sunscreen throughout the day. The bright limestone makes the sun feel stronger than the numbers suggest.
Don't expect quiet beaches
Even lesser-known spots see crowds. For real quiet, plan an early morning arrival or take a boat trip to a cove.
