Five days in Malta in November, for two.
Thursday 26 November to Monday 30 November · balanced pace
A real plan from our planner, made for a couple staying in Sliema who like history, food and nature, getting around by bus, ferry and taxi at a steady pace. Every stop and meal below came out of the planner for these dates, and none was moved by hand. This plan stays on Malta, so Gozo and Comino are not in it.
Your Thursday, 26 November, begins with the transfer from the airport and a stop at your accommodation to leave your bags, so the first stop comes a little after midday. From there Sliema unfolds gently: a covered mall with a seafront edge, the bustle of Bisazza Street, and the long flat promenade running along the open Mediterranean.

About 10 min walk to the next stop
Allow about two hours. Eat at the Piazza restaurants over the food court, then step outside to the Tigne pedestrian bridge for the Valletta skyline.
You are arriving in Malta in November, so a covered stop with a proper lunch and a seafront view makes a gentle first afternoon. The Point is a weather refuge if the sky turns, and the views across to Valletta are the real reward for you as lovers of history.
About 5 min walk to the next stop
Bisazza Street is where Sliema's daily life runs, with shops, cafés and people going about their afternoon, a good way to ease into the town as you settle in. It suits a balanced pace with plenty of room to sit and watch.
The promenade is flat, paved and easy after a long travel morning, with the open sea on one side and the rock lidos along the way. It is a relaxed first walk that shows you how the town lives by the water.
